TOWN COUNCIL
JAMESTOWN, RHODE ISLAND
October 23, 1997

A special meeting of the Jamestown Town Council was called to order at the
Town Hall, 93 Narragansett Avenue, at 8:58 PM by Council President Craig
A. Amerigian, following a meeting of the Board of Water and Sewer
Commissioners. The following members were present:
David E. Dolce, Vice President
Fred F. Pease
Ellicott Wright
(Absent: Councilor William H. Murphy)

Also present were:
Frances H. Shocket, Town Administrator
Theresa C. Donovan, CMC, Town Clerk
Betty Hubbard, Planning Commission Chair
Patti Campo, Ambulance Association Commander
(Absent: Quentin Anthony, Esq., Town Solicitor)

The special meeting was called by unanimous vote of the Council during its
regular meeting on October 14 for the purpose of discussing the following
matters as unfinished business:

Proposed Ambulance Barn Renovations: Ms. Shocket: Bid proposals were sent
out to five registered local architects; Andrew Yates responded with a bid
of $2,995.
     Motion by Councilor Wright, seconded by Council President Amerigian
to award the bid to Andrew Yates. So unanimously voted.

Town Planner: (Ms. Bryer's letter of resignation from the Planning
Commission was distributed to the Council.) Motion by Councilor Pease,
seconded by Councilor Wright to accept the Town Administrator's nomination
and appoint Lisa Bryer as Town Planner. So unanimously voted.

There being no further business before Council, motion by Councilor Pease,
seconded by Councilor Wright to adjourn the meeting at 9:03 PM.
     So unanimously voted.
