NEW BUSINESS

1) One Day Peddler license application
     Applicant Location
     Alfred B. Bingell
d/b/a Freddie Bing's Hotdog Thing (cart) East Ferry

The Council discussed Mr. Bingell's request for an additional cart in the
East Ferry area.
Council President Long noted that some department administrators had
objections to Mr. Bingell bringing in an additional hotdog cart. The
Clerk informed the Council that the Building/Zoning Official generally
only signs off for non profit organizations; the Public Works Director
cited the established policy that the number of peddlers are limited in
that area; and the Tax Collector did not sign off because Mr. Bingell's
taxes were not paid up to date.
Councilor Amerigian stated that this would not allow another
peddler to come into the East Ferry area; but would allow an established
peddler to use an additional cart for this special event.

It was moved by Councilor Swain, seconded by Councilor Amerigian to
approve the One Day Peddler License requested by Alfred B. Bingell, d/b/a
Freddie Bing's Hotdog Thing, for the use of an additional peddler's cart,
with the following stipulations:

limited to the sale of hotdogs, chips and drinks as stated on Mr.
Bingell's present license, and resolution of debts and taxes

So unanimously voted.

There being no further business, it was moved by Councilor Long, seconded
by Councilor Swain to adjourn the meeting at 6:15 PM.
      So unanimously voted.

Attest:

Arlene D. Kalooski
Town Clerk
