Summer Reading Program!

The Friends of the Jamestown Library are pleased to present the following programs for children and young adults...
HOW TO PARTICIPATE
Register for the Summer Reading Program (SRP) in-person or email your name, address, phone number, school, and entering grade to jamlibkids@gmail.com. Registration begins on June 22.
Upon registering, you will create a Reading Contract with your parent/caregiver and Miss Lisa. The Reading Contract states that you will read a certain number of books or minutes per week between June 22nd and August 15th. At registration, you will receive a SRP Passport in which to record your progress. Check out this site for reading suggestions by grade level.
Fill out your SRP Passport for each Reading Contract goal you reach. The Passport should be returned to the library by August 15th.
For every Reading Contract goal you reach, you may choose a prize from Miss Lisa. These include discount passes to area amusements.
Participants who reach all of their weekly goals by the August 15th deadline are invited to a "Create Your Own Sundae Party" at the Library on Thursday, August 18th at 7:00 p.m. Make your own ice cream sundae and hang out with your friends!
