SUMMER SHOW RULES CORRECTIONS. Two original art pieces made by the CIAA artist may be entered. Paintings, Graphics, Photography, Sculpture and any other original work that has not be previously shown at a CIAA Show in the Community Center, 41 Conanicus Ave. All hanging pieces must be suitably framed with wires and ready for hanging. No saw tooth hangers or clips. No unprotected glass edges. No wet paint. Work to be hung must not exceed 48” in any direction. Connected works must not exceed maximum measurement of 48” x 48”. Works hung separately, but together, (such as diptychs or triptychs), must not exceed maximum measurement of 48” high by 60” linear wall space. Artist will be advised that works in a series (related by a single theme but sold separately) will not necessarily be hung together. Hanging pieces must not exceed 20 lbs. in weight. Artists must provide their own easel for large and/or heavy work that cannot be hung using standard hanging materials. Reproductions may only be placed in bins and may not be hung in the show. They must be labeled “REPRODUCTIONS” in the bins. “Reproduction” labels will be available at drop off. It is suggested that photographs be numbered to indicate the size of the issue. Sculpture must be easily moveable. The artist must supply a structurally sound base or pedestal that maintains the sculpture in a well-balanced position, and helps prevent tipping or breakage. Standing sculpture must not exceed 100 lbs. in weight, 80” in height, or 48” in width. Only one of your two pieces can be “not for sale”. The CIAA will take a 20% commission on all works sold. Please price your work accordingly. All artwork submitted for hanging in a CIAA exhibit must remain hanging for the duration of the exhibit. Up to 15 unframed pieces, original to the artist, will be accepted for the bin. Picture size limit is 18” x 36” in any direction. All upstretched bin art work must have both front and backing matting and presented in clear plastic, shrink-wrap or sealed plastic envelopes. Stretched canvas on wood must be wrapped in clear plastic shrink-wrap or sealed in plastic envelopes. No metal or glass can be part of, or included as, art work in bin. Reproductions submitted for inclusion in bins must be labeled “Reproduction”. This includes any photograph of an original painting or section of a painting. Sticker labels will be provided by CIAA at time of entry. All checks for sales of work, sent by CIAA, must be payable to the artist. No representative will be permitted to receive payment for the artist.
